  • Western Australlia’s Clarion Award for the greatest contribution to journalism (1999)

  • Western Australlian Premier’s Award for non-fiction (1999)

  • Crime Writers’ Association of Australia’s Ned Kelly Award for Best True Crime (2001)

  • Churchill Fellowship to research organizations supporting the wrongfully convicted (2007)

    She was one of LotteryWest/Scoop Magazine’s twenty-five most inspirational Australians (2003); won the Magazine Publishers’ Association Story of the Year (2002) and was the Inaugural Brownes Yoghurt Woman of the Year (2005).
